Mobile Access Tower Course




Who Should Attend:

This course is for anybody who uses aluminium tower scaffolding in the course of their work.
Objectives
 
The aim of the course is to give participants the skills, knowledge and attitude which will enable them to erect Mobile Access Aluminium Towers in a safe manner, in accordance with the Statutory Regulations and the manufacturers' instructions.

On completion participants will be able to:

  • Understand Safe Erection and Dismantling Procedures to HD1004 Specification.
  • Understand the Principles of Accident Causation and Prevention.
  • Be aware of and understand Relevant Legislation.


Course Content:

Working at Heights - Current Legislation.
Alloy Tower Erection - Theory & Practical Training.
Tie-ins and Out Riggers.
Accident Causation and Prevention.
Revision and Assessment.

Method Of Training:

  • PowerPoint presentation
  • Practical demonstration
  • Theory & Practical Assessment

Candidate must have the following:

  • Safe Pass Registration Card or CSR Card
  • PPE (personal protective equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Visibility Vest, Steel Toe Capped Boots, Gloves.
  • One Passport Photograph with signature on the back
  • PPS Number of National Insurance Number


Trainee must be over 18
Must be English speaking
Must answer YES to at least 9 out of 13 questions on the Mobile Access Tower Experienced Operator's Self Assessment document prior to the commencement of the programme
Duration

1 Day - Experienced Operator
2 Day - Non Experienced

Certification:
Participants will be awarded a QQI 5 Certificate and a CSCS Card on successful completion of this course.
