Confined Spaces Training

Course Aim:

Our Confined Space Awareness course aims to give learners an understanding of the risks involved in working in confined spaces & how to reduce those risks.

Course Objectives:

  • On completion of this course the learners will be able to;
  • Describe the responsibility of the confined space entrant, observer & supervisor
  • Understand the confined space rescue procedure
  • State the reasons for a confined space entry permit & the steps to follow for obtaining one
  • Understand the operation of a gas detector

Course Programme:

  • Confined spaces  Definition & Identifying hazards
  • Safe work practices & procedures
  • Emergency planning  Rescue procedures
  • Unsafe atmospheres
  • Gas detection equipment

Training Methods:

  • A power-point presentation supplemented with videos
  • Interactive problem solving & case studies throughout

Who Should Attend

  • Those whose work involves entry into confined spaces
  • Management responsible for devising safe systems of work

  • Maximum of 10 learners
  • 1 day
  • Certificate of Competency will be given to all learners who successfully complete this course
